Yesterday, Sean "Diddy" Combs held a huge birthday celebration at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. And the big names were there to help him celebrate. The guest list was certainly impressive. I couldn't possibly give you photos of all the celebrities that showed up, but some of the more notable ones were Kim Kardashian, Russell Simmons, Spike Lee, Regina King, Robin Thicke, Nelly, Martha Stewart (Who knew Martha was a hip-hop fan?), Al Sharpton, Herbie Hancock and Bono .  

Often, the negative exploits of celebrities are documented more than their positive contributions. Recently, VH1 decided to do something about it by showcasing the good stuff that entertainers are doing in a new special, 'Top 20 Celebs Gone Good' -- and several notable African Americans made the cut. It's no surprise that Oprah Winfrey came in number two on the list for the work she's done through her Leadership Academy in South Africa and her Angel Network, which raised millions for Hurricane Katrina  

The show lingerie was gorgeous and super inventive as always. Over the knee boots made an appearance as did a bit of plaid and rustic touches. The Pink section of the show was really bright, fun, and cute.

The 2009 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show went down in New York City last night, and in case you're not familiar with the year event don't get it twisted -- the pieces modeled by famous hoofers like Heidi Klum, Miranda Kerr, Marissa Miller, and Chanel Iman aren't the stuff of Victoria's Secret mall locations. These ladies aren't showing off the polka-dotted cotton undies you stock up on at your location VS. The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which will air on CBS on December 1, is always an over-the-top c  

Jay-Z, Rihanna and Kanye West may run this town, but Diddy definitely run this city. Last night was his 40th Birthday at the Plaza and everyone and their mom (Hey Janice Combs ) was there. Including: Bono, Denzel Washington, Jay-Z, Nelly, Kim Kardashian, Tom Cruise, Will.I.Am, Tyrese, Cassie, Keri Hilson, Russell Simmons, Anthony Anderson, Tigga, Michael Devoe, DJ Dnice, Marth Stewart, Tory Burch, Jimmy Fallon and more.

They are Emanuela de Paula, Chanel Iman, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Lindsay Ellingson and Candice Swanepoel. But Klum, who gave birth to a daughter five weeks ago, was the audience favorite in her purple corset covered with a half gown with poufs of tulle.

That sentiment is the recurring theme of A Passion for Giving, an inspirational documentary marking the brilliant directorial debut of Robin Baker Leacock. Accompanied by her husband, Robert, who served as her cameraman, Ms. Leacock crisscrossed the planet chronicling the selfless efforts of generous individuals dedicated to alleviating the suffering of the less fortunate.
